Welcome to the Board Jill Sommers

MAPDA is pleased to welcome Jill E. Sommers to our Board of Directors.

Jill served two consecutive terms as a Commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) after being nominated by both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama and confirmed twice by the United States Senate. With more than 30 years of experience in financial markets and regulatory policy, she has built a distinguished career in leadership, governance, and public service.

Jill previously served as Chair of the Derivatives Practice Group at Patomak Global Partners and currently serves on the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Research Advisory Committee (FRAC), as well as the boards of several SEC- and CFTC-regulated organizations.

Her experience and strategic insight will be a tremendous asset as MAPDA continues to advance its mission of prevention, education, awareness, and advocacy. We are honored to have Jill as part of the MAPDA Board of Directors.
