Stronger Together: Bringing Prevention Information to Coachella Valley Families

The challenges surrounding substance abuse continue to evolve, and families need reliable information to understand the risks facing their children and communities.

The challenges surrounding substance abuse continue to evolve, and families need reliable information to understand the risks facing their children and communities. Counterfeit pills, deadly fentanyl, and drugs marketed to young people through social media have changed the landscape, making prevention education more important than ever.

That is why MAPDA is proud to partner with KESQ News Channel 3 through Stronger Together, an initiative created to bring important drug prevention information directly to families throughout the Coachella Valley.

This partnership represents exactly why MAPDA does what we do.

MAPDA was founded on the belief that awareness can lead to prevention, and prevention can save lives. By working alongside local news organization like KESQ, MAPDA is helping ensure that life saving information reaches the community.

Through Stronger Together, KESQ will examine the changing drug threats affecting families and children, ask important questions about where protections are falling short, and provide information that can help people recognize risks before tragedy occurs.

For MAPDA, this is prevention in action.

No single organization can address the substance use crisis alone. It takes families, educators, community leaders, media partners, prevention advocates, and individuals willing to start conversations and share information.
